Our Seal tells much about who we are. Here is an explanation of what it stands for.
The Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod is a family of congregations who are walking together in the one true faith of Jesus Christ. The word "synod" refers to a group that is walking together. The 6000 + congregations of the Missouri Synod have joined together to speak a common confession of belief and to do together what would be difficult or impossible for us to do individually in the fulfillment of God's command to go forth and make disciples.
