Pastor Joe Jacks was born in LaGrange, Georgia on the 19th of January, 1943.  After 5 years in the U.S. Airforce he attended Erlanger School of Nursing where he earned a diploma in nursing.  He then attended the University of Alabama School of Anesthesia at Birmingham where he earned a certificate in anesthesia.  He worked for 30 years for Anesthesiologists of chattanooga and is presently self-employed working in surgery centers three days a week.

 

Joe was an active member of Good Shepher Lutheran church for 26 years.  He served as lay minister, president, and for four years as a deacon.  He is currently serving at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evensville, TN providing pastoral care. 

 

Joe is married to Beverly McAmis Jacks.  He has one daughter, Karen, and three grandchildren in Houston, Texas.
